My DIY candy buffet

One of the biggest things that stayed on my mind when planning my wedding was to have a beautiful day but on a comfortable budget.

Favours can be one of those costs that easily push your budget right up so for me a candy buffet was a great solution!

I have the biggest sweet tooth so it naturally made sense to have our own candy buffet to share with out friends and family.

Here are some tips that helped me

1) Use fun and different vases to make your table interesting -
There are so many different ways to showcase your sweets and thrift shops make it easy to find cheap vases that can make your buffet really pretty. Also different sizes look nice visually

2) Stick to your theme -
My colours were pink and white and I choose popular sweets based on my theme to tie it in with the reception décor.

3) Work out the right quantities -
There's nothing worse than having a candy buffet and not enough sweets for all. Bear in mind some guests might like to help themselves throughout the reception so its good to have enough sweets to keep it fully topped up and someone you can count on to make sure this happen

4) Creative signage -
Some guests believe it or not might not be aware the food is there to be eaten! A cute sign up will let them know to help themselves

5) Set an open time
If your buffet is going to be set up prior to your wedding breakfast then you might not want guests dipping into the treats until later. Keeping the lids on your jars and taking away scoops and tongs is a good way to stop people ruining your buffet until its time. You can have someone keep an eye out to advise anyone who might be unsure.

Hopefully these tips are really helpful, please feel free to comment and leave your thoughts below
